ART-212 Ceramics II
A continuation of ART 106. The course will introduce the student to more challenging techniques and processes, expanding the scope and dimension of previously learned material.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate his/her own style and method of working.
- Apply more advanced decorating techniques in their work.
- Recognize more advanced techniques in hand-building and on the wheel.
- Identify the aspects of firing within the kiln and alternative methods, such as Raku and sawdust firing.
- Apply basic mathematics towards measuring and scaling.
- Appraise technical and visual unity in their work.
