How to Apply for Financial Aid
FLCC offers several types of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, student loans, and part-time employment opportunities.
To be considered for financial aid, students should complete the following applications:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- The New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Application
- The FLCC Foundation Scholarship Application
The 2026-2027 FAFSA will be available beginning October 1, 2025 at StudentAid.gov. Students should complete the FAFSA as early as possible, as some programs, including Federal Work-Study and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), have limited funding.
When completing the FAFSA, students should list Finger Lakes Community College using the federal school code 007532. Computers are available at the FLCC One Stop Center for students who need assistance accessing the application.
After submitting the FAFSA, New York State residents should complete the TAP Application through HESC TAP Application. A completed FAFSA is required before TAP eligibility can be determined.
Detailed information about applying for financial aid is available at FLCC Financial Aid
Students interested in FLCC Foundation scholarships should submit their admissions application and high school transcript by March 1, 2027 for priority consideration. Eligible students are automatically considered for many scholarships based on factors such as academic performance, program of study, hometown, and veteran status.
Students may also apply for additional FLCC Foundation scholarships by completing the online scholarship application at FLCC Foundation Scholarship Application. Additional information is available at FLCC Scholarships.
