Students Under the Age of 16

Requests from individuals under the age of 16 to enroll at Finger Lakes Community College will be reviewed by the Office of Concurrent Enrollment. Students should express a desire to enroll at FLCC, demonstrate academic and emotional preparedness for college-level work, and meet course prerequisites (if applicable). Students under age 16 will enroll as a part-time non-matriculated student only (i.e. non-degree seeking student) and limited to 7 credit hours per semester until they turn 16. All students under age 16 who wish to enroll must be advised and registered by the Office of Concurrent Enrollment.

High school students enrolled in programs between FLCC and area high schools are exempt from this policy (i.e. Gemini Program, Early College High School, PTECH).

Finger Lakes Community College reserves the right to deny students under the age of 16 from enrolling in courses that include local and/or long-distance and/or overnight travel.
