CON-102 Introduction to Fish and Wildlife
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an introduction to vertebrate biology and ecology with emphasis on the identification and natural history of species. Students practice identification skills and information management. This course emphasizes vertebrates including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals found in New York.

- Identify North American fish and mammal species with an emphasis on those in NY State.
- Summarize information from the natural history of fish and mammal species of New York State.
- Practice connecting natural history information to species management decisions.
- Develop a learning process for species identification.
