COM-123 Video Production I

This course introduces students to the basic techniques of video production. Students will be given hands-on experience in camera operation, lighting, sound, computer graphics, switching, directing, and video tape editing. Experience with the local Public Access Television Channel (FLTV) is included.

  1. Demonstrate the ability to write a television script.
  2. Demonstrate various production techniques including recording images and audio for video presentations.
  3. Design and produce computer graphics for video in accordance with industry standards.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to edit video, audio, and computer graphics to produce a complete video.
