How to Apply for Financial Aid
FLCC offers various types of financial aid, including scholarships, grants, loans, and part-time student employment opportunities.
There are three primary applications that students should complete to be considered for financial aid: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the NYS Student Aid Payment Application (TAP Application), and the FLCC Foundation Scholarship Application.
The FAFSA can be submitted by mail or online at https://studentaid.gov starting on December 31st, 2024. For students without internet access, computers are available at the FLCC One-Stop. Be sure to specify Finger Lakes Community College as the recipient of the FAFSA by using FLCC's Title IV School Code: 007532. It's recommended to submit the FAFSA promptly after December 31, 2024, as certain federal aid programs (such as the Federal SEOG and Federal Work-Study) have limited funding and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
After completing the FAFSA, students should then proceed to complete the NYS Student Aid Payment (TAP) Application online at https://www.tap.hesc.ny.gov/totw/.
For detailed information about the financial aid application process, students can visit the FLCC website at https://flcc.edu/offices/financial-aid/how-to.cfm.
Students interested in FLCC Foundation merit-based scholarships must submit their admissions application and high school transcript by March 1, 2024. Applicants will automatically be considered for general scholarships based on criteria such as high school performance, chosen academic program, hometown, and veteran status. Additionally, students can apply for additional FLCC Foundation scholarships by completing the online FLCC Foundation Scholarship Application at https://flcc.awardspring.com.
