SPN-202 Spanish IV
SPN 202 is a continuation of the intermediate level course (SPN 201). Emphasis is on enhancing communication skills in Spanish, both spoken and written. Students will refine critical reading and writing skills through further exploration of Hispanic literature and culture. This course carries SUNY General Education World Language credit.
Prerequisite
SPN-201 or an equivalent skill level in the language as recommended by the World Languages @ FLCC Language Placement Guide.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will communicate orally in a variety of social settings at a second semester intermediate level.
- Students will demonstrate aural comprehension in a variety of settings through appropriate response at a second semester intermediate level.
- Students will craft written text for a variety of practical purposes at a second semester intermediate level.
- Students will read and interpret text of varying types, lengths, and purposes at a second semester intermediate level.
- Students will recognize and use some culturally appropriate vocabulary, expressions, and gestures at a second semester intermediate level when participating in everyday interactions. Students will also demonstrate recognition that differences exist in cultural behaviors and perspectives by conforming appropriately in familiar situations at a second semester intermediate level.
