MUS-271 Techniques of Audio Recording III
This course covers all the material acquired in the two prerequisite courses in greater detail, and discusses how to use those concepts within stylistic norms. Throughout the course we will emphasize "ear training" and the art of listening, in conjunction with mixing techniques and practice.

- Evaluate recordings and mixing for sonic characteristics on a professional level (e.g. appropriate understanding of the sonic landscape using a visual map.)
- Examine a range of techniques in mixing
- Use sophisticated hardware during a mixing session (e.g. large format console, outboard signal processing, console based automation)
