CJC-200 Co-operative Education
The Cooperative Education course may be taken after the student has completed the first and second semester requirements of the Criminal Justice program. The student will be assigned to work in a criminal justice agency or department. The course is designed to supplement the academic knowledge with first-hand, ‘real-world’ experience in a workplace setting.
Prerequisite
2.5 GPA or Higher
Course Learning Outcomes
- Complete and document at least 225 hours of work at the assigned agency.
- Practice documentation and reporting skills by maintaining a journal of daily work experiences.
- Practice communication and presentation skills by preparing an evaluation of their co-op experience and present their experiences to their classmates and professor.
- Apply job seeking skills (e.g. resume writing, cover letter creation, interviewing).
