Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this degree program, students will be able to:

  • Distinguish between the major concepts of interpersonal, group, mass, and public communication.
  • Analyze an audience and form a message to effectively reach that audience.
  • Form and present a message using video, print, and the spoken word, applying discipline-specific guidelines.
  • Examine the impact of communication on society and evaluate ethical considerations.
