Center for Student Success

The Center for Student Success provides comprehensive, student-centered services designed to promote persistence, achievement, and personal growth. The Center serves as a centralized hub where students can access a wide range of support programs to help them successfully navigate college and achieve their academic goals.

The department includes three key areas of support: Student Success Coaches for first-time college students, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and SUNY Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) for eligible student populations.

Student Success Coaches

FLCC provides first-time students access to a Student Success Coach to help them transition to and navigate college. Coaching offers personalized guidance with goal setting, academic planning, and navigating college resources and systems. Student Success Coaches are currently located on the third floor of the Charles J. Meder Library. Educational Opportunity Program 

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is a state-funded initiative that provides assistance to qualifying students who show potential to succeed in college. Participation in EOP provides enhanced academic support for underprepared students, including personal academic advisement, tutoring, modest financial assistance, and a pre-freshman summer program. Applicants must meet all academic and income guidelines. The EOP office is currently located on the first floor of the Student Center, behind the One Stop. SUNY Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP)

SUNY Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) provides an enhanced academic environment with personalized support services for a select cohort of students. Participation in SUNY ASAP provides services such as additional guidance, personalized coaching and advising, structure, and financial assistance to help students stay on course and graduate on time. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements. SUNY ASAP is currently located on the first floor of the Student Center.
