Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Describe how human sexuality is studied from interdisciplinary perspectives.
  2. Be able to discuss and write about how factors such as legal issues, age, gender, orientation, religion and physical or mental abilities impact human sexuality.
  3. Analyze cross-cultural and subcultural differences in human sexuality.
  4. Investigate and assess contemporary issues bearing upon sexual health.
  5. Identify basic facts about human sexual anatomy and physiology.
  6. Identify contemporary and historical attitudes about sexuality.
  7. Be able to describe sexual disorders and associated therapies.
  8. Analyze popular culture depictions of sexuality and assess how these influence human sexuality.
