EMCR-130 Certified First Responder

This course offers basic training to the professional rescuer who arrives first on the scene of a medical emergency. The purpose of this course is to improve the quality of emergency medical care to patients in the pre-hospital setting by personnel involved in on-scene rescue.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. 1.Identify life threatening emergencies
  2. 2.Implement immediate steps to correct any life threatening emergencies
  3. 3.Perform CPR and use an AED
  4. 4.Administer oxygen
  5. 5.Prevent the patient's condition from worsening before higher trained EMS providers arrive
  6. 6.Treat shock, stabilize fractures, bandage wounds and provide other needed care
